Comprehensive Assessment of Autism and Associated Symptoms.


Openings for Parents of Typically-Developing Children Ages 2-17
Goal
Invite parents of typically-developing children to fill out several questionnaires, to compare their responses with those from parents of children with autism.
Eligibility

US Resident
-
Parents of children ages 4-17 years with a formal diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
-
Fluent in English
Exclusion criteria:

Other children with autism spectrum disorder

The child has a significant mental or physical health condition, such as ADHD, learning disability, anxiety disorder, depression, asthma, epilepsy, or other serious health condition.
What does the study involve?
Parents will be asked to complete the following interviews/questionnaires about their child:

Completing a 15 minute questionnaire on autism-related symptoms, and discussing it for 10 minutes with study staff. Two weeks later, filling it out again.

Completing 4 other questionnaires on medical history and autism and related symptoms (45 minutes).
Compensation
Participants will receive a $30 electronic gift card for participation.
Importance of this study
This study will help us develop a better questionnaire for autism by comparing responses from parents of typically-developing children.
